Join us in celebrating our graduates

Before each ceremony, graduates will meet with their academic college at a designated time and location ahead of the ceremony and walk to L.T. Smith Stadium. Graduates will be seated on Jimmy Feix Field.

During the ceremony, graduates will hear from WKU President Timothy C. Caboni and have their degree conferred by the Board of Regents.

Graduates will have the opportunity to walk as their name is called. If they wish to remain seated, they may choose that as well. Grads will be handed their diploma covers, walk past the dean of their academic college and President Caboni, have their photo taken and return to their seat.

WKU is partnering with Full Measure, a third-party production company, to create a personalized video board experience for the ceremony. During the reading of the names, there will be an accompanying slide on the video board with each participating graduate's photo/video and information.

Reader cards will be available at the table nearest to your college flag during the Topper Walk line up. These should only be completed by you if you did not submit your information and photo/video. When you complete your reader card on Commencement Day, leave it at the table to be recognized.

Message to Students from President Timothy C. Caboni - Commencement Update

President Timothy C Caboni

Commencement provides us with an opportunity to reflect on the hard work and persistence of our students and to celebrate our university’s core mission of transforming lives through the WKU Experience. As I shared previously, this May we will gather in-person as a Hilltopper Family to recognize our graduates’ tremendous achievements, and we look forward to celebrating all those who completed their degrees in both 2020 and 2021.

Although distribution of the COVID-19 vaccine is underway, it’s imperative that we continue following our Healthy on the Hill guidelines until advised otherwise by health officials. With the understanding that spring 2021 Commencement activities will look different from years past (decreased capacity, physical distancing and masks), our planning team has worked diligently to engage our graduates and identify the commencement elements most important to them.
