Generally offered in May term for undergraduate and graduate students to tour 2-3 countries in Europe and learn about CSD service delivery internationally.

Who is eligible?
Undergraduate and graduate students currently enrolled in the CSD program at WKU.
SLP and CSD students from other universities are also invited to apply.
Are there meetings before the trip?
Yes. Pre-departure meetings are very important and are required for all students.
There will be three to four pre-departure meetings to discuss expectations, safety,
packing, money, site visits, etc. Arrangements will be made for distance students
to attend meetings virtually.
How much does it cost?
Approximately $4500
Can I travel from another state?
Yes. For students living outside Kentucky, we can make arrangements for you to fly
out of or into most locations in the US. In some cases, there may be a slightly increased
fee if you plan to fly from a location other than Nashville. Students traveling from
other locations may also have the option of making their own flight arrangements.
How many students can go on the trip?
We typically take 10 but in some cases are willing to take up to 12.
Does it count toward my major at WKU in CSD or SLP?
Yes. This course can be used by both undergraduate and graduate CSD students as a
3 elective credit hours
What do we do on the trip?
We visit various sites such as universities with speech programs. We also meet with
professionals in the field of SLP, visit clinical settings, and engage in diverse
cultural experiences.

How do you decide who enrolls in the course?
Applications are accepted and reviewed in order of receipt by the program leaders.
Once the leaders have selected participants, students will be notified of their acceptance
via email. At that time, the selected students may complete the study abroad application
for enrollment.
