4 hour course: Does your job require you to work with Microsoft Excel? This course provides the straightforward foundation you need to utilize a spreadsheet for business applications. Design concepts, databases, charts, and macros will be examined thoroughly along with the major built-in functions. Students will design several spreadsheets both in and out of class to solve specific business problems.
- Understand entry and use of the three data types, use of menus and use of commands
- Practice cell addressing and manipulation
- Demonstrate saving, creating and printing spreadsheets and graphs

4 hour course: Once you’ve mastered the basics, you’re ready to move on to our Intermediate Excel course which will introduce you to charting features and database management in Microsoft Excel 2013. You will design worksheets that meet Excel criteria for database functions such as sorting and filtering. In addition, you will cover the following: database design criteria, subtotals, PivotTables, and PivotCharts. With Excel, you’ll learn to work smarter, not harder! (Upon request, course can be divided up into Intermediate Excel 1 and Intermediate Excel 2—both 4 hour courses.)
- Learn how to link sheets and files together
- Demonstrate how to use the conditional functions
- Understand how to use essential list management

In this course, you will work on creating action queries and macros, linking to and grouping worksheets to create a workspace in excel, using pivot tables and charts, integrating Excel into Word and PowerPoint and finally, working with goal seeking and more advanced formulas. You have many more possibilities with Excel than you think—taking this course will be a helpful eye-opener about a program that’s probably already on your computer!
- Understand complex functions in Excel
- Demonstrate understanding of how to integrate Excel into other MS programs

- 4-hour course: Does your job require you to work with Microsoft Excel? This class
sets the foundation for Excel. Participants will learn important features, such as
how to customize the Quick Access Toolbar, how to use Excel’s Backstage view, and
how to access the Excel Options window to make changes to the spreadsheet. Participants
will learn the Excel window, the seven shapes of the mouse and what each one does
in Excel.
- Create a spreadsheet and do simple calculations
- Learn how to use the top 5 functions: (Autosum, Average, Count, Maximum and Minimum)
- Understand how to modify a spreadsheet by inserting rows and columns
- Demonstrate how to Format the spreadsheet for appearance put it on the page before printing

- 4-hour course: This course will introduce you to the rules of writing formulas in
Excel and how to work with both relative and absolute formulas. You will also learn
how to fix errors using the formula auditing feature as well as linking formulas in
a spreadsheet in workbooks. With Excel, you’ll learn to work smarter, not harder!
