Business Finance
Finance has become the universal language of commerce - cutting across industries, countries, and circumstances. Finance is an indispensable tool for fueling innovation and economic growth and appropriately managing risk.
The B.S. in Business Finance concentration provides skills necessary to work at a high level of expertise in finance, including: asset management; commercial and investment banking; treasury management; and international finance to name a few. Demand for our graduates is strong. Our graduates earn competitive salaries and have a variety of career options.
Concentrating in business finance equips students well for careers in law and government in addition to the private sector. Our graduates have:
- Been offered positions with firms across the United States;
- Attended national conferences in Chicago and New York City;
- Toured corporate finance offices and banking institutions in our region;
- Gone on to law school;
- Pursued M.B.A.'s and other advanced degrees;
- Started their own businesses;
Our students benefit from membership in the award winning WKU Financial Management Association Student Chapter, which offers numerous networking and professional opportunities.
