Finance, Minor

Climb higher with a Minor in Finance.

The Finance minor at WKU is a great complement to many other majors within the Gordon Ford College of Business, and in other majors throughout the university.

Finance supports nearly all careers in business - for all firms (profit and not-for-profit) plan for the utilization of money - through investing in a business or in publicly held companies, through lending to other companies, or into projects within a firm. In addition, finance supports a greater understanding of capital markets, the process for the raising of capital, and the management of one's personal finances.

WKU's own student chapter of the Financial Management Association and Financial Planning Association host several guest speakers each semester. Students pursuing the Minor are welcome to join and participate in these organizations.

For additional information, contact Dr. Chhachhi, Chair of the Finance Department.
