Anthropology major Amber Burdine wins Study Abroad Photo Contest
- Thursday, February 14th, 2019
Amber Burdine, an Anthropology-History double major, has won the Fall 2018 New Horizons Study Abroad Photo Contest. During her experience at Harlaxton College in England, she took the opportunity to explore other areas in Europe. Her winning image was taken in the Scottish Highlands near Glencoe, the site of the famous MacDonald massacre. The photograph captures the beauty of the Highlands, depicting a path winding through the mountains, dusted in snow, with a loch just visible in the background. Amber has expressed her abroad experience was an adventure of a lifetime. The knowledge she gained about the history and culture of the region was formative, and the opportunity afforded invaluable personal insight as well. Congratulations to Amber on her photo prize!
