Jonathon Howell

Winner of the A. M. Stickles Award

Jonathon is from Independence, Kentucky. Jonathon participated in a study abroad trip to Italy during the summer of 2018 that he remembers fondly. Jonathon became a History major because he has always been fascinated with history and believed it was a subject worth investing himself in. His favorite part of being a History major has been the opportunity to learn and better understand many different historical periods and cultures he at first did not think would be of interest. Jonathon plans to graduate this Spring and then get his master’s degree and enter the public history sector. Jonathon’s favorite quote is from Seneca: “Every new beginning comes from some other beginning’s end.”
