Dr. Yuyun Lei holds a Ph.D. in East Asian Languages and Cultures from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She received her M.A. in Applied Second Language Acquisition from Carnegie Mellon University, and her M.A. and B.A. in Chinese Language and Literature from Hunan University, China.
Her primary research interest lies in second language assessment and pedagogy. Before joining WKU, she taught Chinese at different universities and programs, including Wake Forest University, the University of Mississippi, the University of Pittsburgh, the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and Princeton in Beijing.
