Dr. Holli Drummond has accepted a four-year reappointment as the Department Chair for the Department of Sociology & Criminology in the Potter College of Arts and Letters (PCAL) at WKU.
In a unanimous vote, a committee consisting of faculty and staff members from the Department of Sociology & Criminology voted to renew Dr. Drummond for another term as Department Chair.
“Dr. Drummond has been a fierce advocate for the Department of Sociology and Criminology,” says PCAL Dean, Dr. Terrance Brown. “She works tirelessly to ensure academic equity within the unit and college. I look forward to working with her for the next four years.”
In addition to her role as the Department Chair for Sociology & Criminology, Dr. Drummond teaches courses in Introduction to Criminal Justice, Juvenile Delinquency, Systems of Juvenile Justice, and Gender, Crime, and Justice. She also previously served as the faculty supervisor for Sociology & Criminology internships.
“I am grateful that my work as the Department Chair has allowed me to represent the values of the faculty and affirm our collective value as a student-centered department,” says Dr. Drummond. “As I renew my appointment, I also appreciate PCAL’s confidence in my leadership.”
