The Kentucky Museum will host Herstory@WKU Saturday, March 25 from 12PM-4PM. Free activities for girls in grades 1-8 will be provided by over 30 WKU departments. Performances and an autograph party with amazing local women are a wonderful opportunity to showcase to girls all the fields open to them. Interested girls are encouraged to participate in the costume contest by dressing as their favorite women with prizes awarded: Best Present-Day Woman, Best Historical Woman, and Best Fictional Woman.
The first Herstory@wku was held in February 2020. Museum staff saw so many wonderful moments of girls interacting with women and dreaming of a variety of professional futures. Many in attendance requested it become an annual event. With the generous support of Delta Dental and the WKU Sisterhood, the Museum is able make Herstory@WKU 2023 bigger and better than ever.
