Paducah native and author of 'Blitzed' returns home for book event celebration and signing
- Monday, August 28th, 2017
Thomas George, Paducah native, WKU alum and author of Blitzed: Why NFL Teams Gamble on Starting Rookie Quarterbacks, will be present from 2-4 p.m. Sept. 9 at Books-A-Million in Paducah for a celebration of the release of this important new NFL work. It is a historical and current analysis of the crucial yet perplexing search for NFL teams yearning to find the face of their organizations – the franchise quarterback.
George, a 1978 graduate of Paducah Tilghman and a 2015 inductee into WKU's Hall of Distinguished Alumni, looks forward to returning home for this celebration, where books will be available for purchase and where he will personally sign each. The public is invited.
“There are many national events and venues associated with this work, but none are more important to me than returning to my hometown and sharing this blessed opportunity with everyone there,” George said. “Priority for me is to inspire the youth there, and to give them a tangible example, that I come from where they come from and that they can dream big dreams and fulfill them if they are willing to pay the price to make them come true.”
The book, a product of Sports Publishing, an imprint of Skyhorse Publishing, releases nationally on Sept. 5.
