On Saturday, February 8th the Museum will host Herstory@wku, a free public event designed for girls in grades 1-8 and their families. We will be celebrating amazing women past, present and future. Visit the event’s webpage at wku.edu/go/herstory. This girl empowerment event is made possible by the financial support of Wells Fargo and WKU Gender and Women’s Studies.
Herstory@WKU is part of a larger multi-partner WKU and community endeavor, Journey to the Vote.
The year 2020 marks anniversaries for two Constitutional Amendments: the 15th Amendment granting African American men the right to vote, and the 19th Amendment recognizing women’s right to vote.
In recognition of these anniversaries, several WKU departments and the Warren County Public Library are working together to offer a variety of events, workshops, programs, panels and exhibits. Visit Journey to the Vote for a monthly listing of activities.
