Rock The Vote
- Monday, September 21st, 2020
WKU’s Political Engagement Project will celebrate National Voter Registration Day on Tuesday, September 22nd! The Political Engagement Project will partner with the Department of Political Science, WKU Young Democrats, and WKU College Republicans to help register, educate, and turn out college students to vote!
For the past few years, Rock the Vote has been a casual, vibrant voter registration event on South Lawn with food, music, and representatives from different campaigns to engage students in political efficacy. This year, Rock the Vote is reimagined with a new, virtual format. Throughout the day, WKU faculty, staff, and student leaders will make posts using #HilltoppersVote on their respective social media accounts, sharing with students and the rest of the WKU community why they should vote and how to register. Students can also contribute their own post to the hashtag telling us why they vote and encouraging others to do the same!
Additionally, there will be a table outside of DSU from 11AM-2PM where students can register to vote!
