Dr. Merrall Price is originally from west Wales. She has a Ph.D. in English from the University of Rochester with an emphasis in medieval English literature and culture. She was associate dean of University College for seven years; before that she was Director of Graduate Studies for the English Department at Oklahoma State in Stillwater. She has two dogs who are spoiled rotten, and she is a member of Fountain Square Players.
Dr. Price's research focuses primarily on the fourteenth century, with an emphasis on cultural concerns during religious upheavals. Her monograph Consuming Passions was published by Routledge, and her coedited volumes Domestic Violence in Medieval Texts by the University Press of Florida, and Jews in Medieval Christendom by Brill respectively. Her most recent publication is on medieval anti-judaism for Oxford Bibliographies. Dr. Price is PI on a $50,000 grant from Kentucky CPE targeting co-requisite education for underprepared students, her third grant in this area.
