WKU Sociology & Criminology Alumni Profiles
Tiffany Lindsey ‘09
Tiffany Lindsey graduated in 2009 with a Bachelor in Sociology and a Double Minor
in Criminology and Gerontology. Tiffany interned at the Warren County Probation and
Parole Office.
Tiffany is currently a Home Incarceration Officer, and she writes Pre-Sentence reports
for the 8th Circuit. She started working for Probation and Parole in late 2009 to
2011. She left for 18 months after having her first child. She then started working
for Pretrial Services and was there until returning to Probation and Parole in 2015.
Tiffany knew she wanted to work in Criminal Justice in some form or fashion, and she
graduated with intentions of working for probation and Parole after her internship.
She had a few months gap where she went to LifeSkills until a job with Probation and
Parole opened up. The thing Tiffany enjoys the most about working in Probations and
Parole is knowing that she is making a difference.
One of Tiffany’s special memories from her time at WKU is a class that was at Barren
County Jail. She enjoyed going into the cell once a week and talking to the females
about their experiences. Tiffany says that students who pursue this career should
remember that every individual's actions are his or her own, and never work harder
on someone else's issues then they are willing to work on them.
