Prior to my freshman year, I knew criminology was something I naturally found interest
in and wanted to pursue. Being given countless opportunities to meet and speak with
those currently pursuing careers in either criminology or sociology has impacted my
academic studies greatly. Without the Sociology and Criminology department, my initial
interests would have never developed into the true amount of passion I have for criminology.As a student ambassador, I hope that I can help students recognize their potential
and discover what they are truly passionate about as much as the department has done
for me.
My future goals are to complete my degree in criminology and then ultimately go to
law school. Afterward, I am hoping to pursue a career with a federal agency.
I am looking forward to hopefully providing opportunities to my peers as well as forming
valuable relationships within the Sociology and Criminology department.
