Become a Teacher
If you want to teach children from pre-school-aged to high school-aged who have physical, cognitive/learning, emotional, and/or behavioral disabilities, check out our program in Special Education. Special education teachers in Kentucky are certified to teach students from the primary grades through Grade 12 (P-12). The WKU program leads to certification for teaching children with Learning and Behavioral Disorders (LBD) and Moderate and Severe Disabilities (MSD). The degree you will earn is the BS in Special Education.
