Boren Awards for International Study

Boren Scholarships are sponsored by the U.S. Department of State and are awarded with preference for countries, languages, and fields of study critical to U.S. national security in the broadest sense.

 

Critical Language Scholarship (CLS) Program

The CLS Program is sponsored by the U.S. Department of State and offers intensive critical language training through fully-funded language institutes. Critical languages include Arabic, Azerbaijani, Bangla/Bengali, Chinese, Hindi, Indonesian, Japanese, Korean, Persian, Punjabi, Russian, Turkish, and Urdu.
