WKU Office of Sustainability's Partnership with AREC

The Office of Sustainability has recently partnered with AREC to begin growing a rotation of agricultural products year-round at the farm to be used specifically in WKU Dining Services. The initiative demonstrates an exciting applied learning opportunity for agriculture and horticulture students. The Office's community gardens will also begin to plant herb plots for additional use in Dining Services. This partnership aims to serve as educational opportunity to teach about the importance of sourcing food locally by collaborating with local agricultural educators.
