Register for an exam with the Distance Learning Testing Center

Based on the course or program you are enrolled in, use the links below to register for an exam at the Distance Learning Testing Center in Bowling Green, KY (South Campus Academic Wing C113).

Testing Center provides testing services for the following exams:

Meazure Learning formerly Scantron provides testing and training design, development, and delivery services to certification and licensure organizations, corporations, educational institutions, government agencies, and trade and professional associations. To register, please visit the Meazure Learning (formerly Scantron) website.
ETS is an innovative organization that provides a range of products and services to advance learning worldwide. Currently, the Distance Learning Testing Center offers the PRAXIS and GRE General Exam through this testing program. To register please visit the ETS website.

Founded in 2004, Prov was built on the idea that reliable testing solutions should be available for everyone. Now, more than 16 years later, Prov is proud to offer innovative and accessible exam services to administrators and candidates across a variety of professions.

Register for an exam at a WKU Regional Campus

Based on the course or program you are enrolled in, use the links under 'Registration Process' to register for an exam at one of the regional locations (Glasgow, Elizabethtown, Owensboro, or Ft. Knox).

Please find the appropriate contact information for your preferred exam site. You must contact the proctor prior to submitting the exam request form.

Step 1: Schedule your exam date and time with your chosen proctoring site. *Note: Testing Windows are determined by your course instructor and any exceptions will need to be approved by the instructor and sent to the Distance Learning Testing Center before you will be able to schedule outside of a specified testing window.

Step 2: Complete the appropriate off-site exam request form. Based on the course or program you are enrolled in, use the links below to request an exam at a testing facility other than the Distance Learning Testing Center in Bowling Green, KY.

Please note: there are separate forms based on where you are taking your exam. Please reference the outline below.

*Note: To allow time for processing, please submit your exam request form at least 4 business days in advance of your testing day for pre-approved testing locations and 7 business days in advance of your testing day for sites that must go through an approval process.

WKU Distance Learning
 Testing Center does not charge a fee; however, the WKU Remote Proctoring Network includes proctor locations who charge for the proctoring services as well as those who do not charge. Students are responsible for payment of any proctoring fees if they choose to use a proctor who charges a fee for this service. Students are also responsible for any additional fees that might be associated with the use of a particular proctoring site, such as parking fees.

 

Register for an exam at another location

Based on the course or program you are enrolled in, use the links under 'Registration Process' to register for an exam at a proctoring facility other than the WKU Distance Learning Testing Center or regional campus locations. 

  • Community College/University Testing Center
  • Community College/University Professional (e.g., professors, deans, etc.; not teaching the subject the student is testing in)
  • Certified Librarians
  • Training/Testing Agency staff
  • Community or Area Learning Center staff
  • Military Testing, Training, or Education officer 
  • Military Commander or two ranks above student
Individuals who you have a personal (e.g. relatives, friends, etc.) or business (e.g. supervisor, colleague, etc.) relationship with will NOT be approved. All requested proctors who are not on the pre-approved lists will go through an approval process before being cleared to administer exams. Distance Learning Testing Center reserves the right to refuse any proctor it feels does not fall within the Proctor Guidelines for approval.

No pre-approved site in your area? 
If you wish to have your exam proctored at a site not on the pre-approved proctors lists (including a site in another country), it is a possibility. You will need to make arrangements with an individual who falls under the eligible proctors list, which can be found under 'Register for an exam at another location.' If you cannot find a proctor in your area, please call 270-745-2953 or emaildltesting@wku.edu and our staff will be happy to help you.

Additional Testing Options

ProctorU is an online remote proctoring service offered as an additional option for students who live in rural locations and do not have another viable option, for active duty military, and for international/study abroad students. If approved by the instructor, this service allows students to take exams at their home. There is a fee to use this service and students are responsible for payment of any proctoring fees.

PRIVACY NOTICE

  • Exams via ProctorU are video and audio recorded.
  • During check-in, you will be asked to show your workspace via a 360 pan to ensure it is free from unapproved aids.
  • Before joining your testing session, you should remove any personal or unapproved items from the testing area.
  • If you have privacy concerns, you are encouraged to contact our office to inquire about alternative testing options.
