Kick butts day

Kick Butts Day is a nationally recognized day intended to raise awareness about the problems of tobacco use. This year, the Kentucky Public Health Association will be hosting a Campus-Wide Cigarette Butt Clean-Up Day to celebrate Kick Butts Day.

When: Wednesday, March 18th from 10 AM – 4 PM

Where: Academic Complex Courtyard (Entrance between DSU and Guthrie Bell Tower)

What: Volunteers will be given gloves & Ziploc bags and directed to campus “hot spots” where cigarette butt litter is common. Volunteers can clean up for as little as they want, or as long as they want (until 4 PM). Students can sign up individually or as a group/organization. Bring a friend to make the day more fun! Volunteers are encouraged to log their time as service hours.

How to Sign-Up: Visit www.wku.edu/tobaccofree to pre-register. The first 200 people to sign up and volunteer the day of will receive a free t-shirt.
