WE NEED YOUR HELP... to maintain our current level of support to our military students.
Textbooks for Troops™
We offer a textbook lending library for military and veteran students who do not receive a book stipend. Students may check out a textbook for an entire semester, then return it to our office for another student to use the next semester. Once the book is retired from a course, we donate it to a charity that sends the book overseas to be used in the classroom. It's the ultimate recycling program!
To visualize your impact... If we received a gift of $5,000 we could help 10 students in one semester. In another way, that gift could purchase 55 books, if those books were used for 2 full years (fall to fall) that would have the potential to help a total of 255 students over the life of the books. Textbooks For Troops really is different than any other program. The impact made with us is even greater than most scholarships.
If you have current textbooks you would like to donate to our program or financial resources to enable us to buy textbooks for the semester, both can be dropped off or sent to our office with ATTN: Textbooks for Troops.
Military students attending college are one of the most financially burdened student populations on campus. They are raising families, working full time, and attending classes. Most lack the financial support of their families that traditional students have. We are seeking groups or organizations that would like to sponsor a scholarship for our deserving veteran and military students. If you would like to establish a scholarship, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
Support our Student Veterans Alliance
Our Student Veterans Alliance works closely with the Office of Military Student Services to ensure our veterans are getting the assistance they need. They are a crucial network in helping veterans transition from combat to the classroom. We are looking for sponsors who can assist the club financially. If you would like to lend financial support, please click the Make a gift button below. In the text box next to 'Please provide any additional information regarding your gift:', type Student Veterans Alliance.

Thank you for your generous support of our military and veteran students.
Your donations directly benefit a student veteran:
"At the Veterans Upward Bound Awards banquet when I heard my name announced as the
winner of the MOAA scholarship, I was shocked and very happy. I was especially excited
because this was the first scholarship I had won. I felt a since of relief because
like many college students my income is spread thin. This extra money can help me
to focus more of my attention on my classes, and less on worrying about meeting financial
obligations. However, winning this scholarship has another benefit that I think is
more useful to my academic pursuits. It gave me the confidence that I could succeed,
and that winning a scholarship is possible. When the judges voted for me to win it
was like a vote of confidence that they believed in me and were willing to back me
in my academic adventures." --Kent Johnson, (USMC), Political Science Major
