Are you interested in becoming a Peer Mentor?

The WKU SAV-Y Program has openings for peer mentors. These are volunteer positions; however, peer mentors receive experience working with diverse populations and are better prepared to work with diverse populations. Peer mentor opportunities are open to all students in any academic program.

Peer mentors must:

• Create a mentoring schedule and meet regularly with their assigned WKU SAV-Y participant.
• Provide information and support to the WKU SAV-Y participant as needed.
• Explore opportunities and attend events with the WKU SAV-Y student to help give the college experience to the individual.
• Communicate issues with the program manager.
• Attend peer mentor training.
• Assist with homework, classwork, and other activities.
