The Gatton Academy's Staff

Hines Bowers is the 4th North Residential Counselor. Originally from Atlanta, Georgia, Hines attended The McCallie School in Chattanooga, Tennessee from 2014-2017.  While at McCallie, he had the honor of being a residential advisor during his senior year. Hines graduated from Georgia State University with a BA  in History. 

In 2015, Hines began the Advanced Leadership Academy at YMCA Camp High Harbor. From 2015-2023, Hines worked for Camp High Harbor and spent summers mentoring kids at this overnight summer camp in various roles, ending with Program Manager of Media. During the school year, Hines worked in the service industry as an Assistant Manager at Bartaco in Atlanta, Georgia.

Outside of work, Hines is a huge sports fanatic and enjoys spending time with his family, especially his dog, Ruby, who is back in Atlanta for now. He enjoys growing his wealth and knowledge of the world and hopes to be able to explore the country and world in the near future.
