Pathway to Print
Academic Program Marketing aims to deliver high-quality print material to your academic programs. In order to streamline this process, reference the timeline below to understand the pathway to print.
Step 1
- Submit written content and images you would like to use within the print piece.
- Depending on the type of print piece, we expect the first draft of the design to be complete approximately two weeks after the design request date.
Step 2
- A member of APM will send you a draft of the design via email. As always, we are open to feedback and suggestions on how to improve the design and meet the needs of your academic program. Once approved, you will receive a final, print-ready file via email.
Step 3
- Submit the Estimate Request Form, which submits the information to local printers. The local printers will respond with a quote. After receiving the quotes, select the printer of choice and follow the printer company instructions on print. Please note that all recruitment print pieces should be printed on 100lb+ paper.

Rack Cards
Rack cards are typically 4x9 inches and double-sided, printed on high-quality cardstock. Rack cards are designed to be displayed in high-traffic areas such as lobbies, reception desks, or at recruitment events to give prospective students and their parents a quick overview of a department or program.
Rack cards are a cost-effective and convenient option for departments to promote their programs.
Flyers
Flyers are typically 8.5x11 inches and can be one-sided or double-sided with the option to print on many different kinds of paper. Flyers are designed to be handed out at recruitment events or displayed on community bulletin boards in high-traffic areas, such as in university common areas or local businesses. Flyers can also be designed with in-office printing in mind.
Flyers are a highly customizable and more in-depth option for departments to promote their programs.
