The Center for Courageous Kids

Equestrian Center: Assist full time barn staff with leading horses and side-walking.
Housekeeping: Assist our staff with preparing camp for upcoming camp sessions by making beds, doing laundry, and cleaning lodges.
Maintenance: Volunteers can assist with mowing and ground maintenance as well as minor repairs such as painting.

Volunteer opportunities require additional training. Admin only opportunities of course require less training, but if a volunteer wants to visit patients, they do have to complete a longer training course (usually 2 hours in person.) Volunteers must have the COVID vaccine and flu shot for flu season (Nov 1 – March 31.) Volunteers that want to have patient contact do have to complete a 2 step TB skin testing.

Each year, church congregations from throughout Warren County work together to shelter homeless persons from the cold. Hundreds of congregational volunteers work together to provide shelter and sustenance for more than 100 guests, while Warming Shelter Volunteers, Community Partners and Room in the Inn BG staff work together to connect these persons to needed services, resources, and employment to enable them to achieve permanent and sustainable housing.
