In the 2017-18 academic year, a record number of WKU students and alumni applied for national scholarships. They earned more than $926,261 in funding for graduate school, language study, public service, and study abroad.

WKU students Katie Daniels of Glasgow, Kate Hart of Princeton and Tristan Shaw of Louisville were selected as Gilman Scholars and will receive up to $8,000 to fund their study abroad programs during fall 2018 and academic year 2018-19.
