Kate Hart of Princeton, Nathan Read of Belleveville, Illinois and Tristan Shaw of Glasgow will use Boren Scholarships to fund their Chinese Flagship capstone year in China. Michael Dimeo of Bowling Green was selected as an alternate.

Senior Erick Murrer of Nancy is the first WKU student to receive a Pickering Fellowship, which will provide $37,500 annually for a graduate degree related to the foreign service. Isabella Greene of Orlinda, Tennessee was selected as an alternate.
