Coming again next year!
The Counselor Supervision workshop is Kentucky Board-Approved Training,provided by the Department of Counseling and Student Affairs at WKU. It meets the Kentucky mandatory training requirement for persons providing supervision for Licensed Professional Counselor Associates. This training is also appropriate for graduate students and site supervisors who provide supervision in academic settings. This training is sponsored by The Department of Counseling and Student Affairs. Participants will earn 3 hours of NBCC credit.

Cheryl Wolf, Ph.D., NCC, LPCA, GCDF, PHR, CHt, is an assistant professor at WKU where she teaches graduate-level counseling courses and serves as the clinical coordinator for student internship placements. She has conducted over 35 professional conference presentations and served five years of her clinical experience in a crisis center supervising counselors, working with clients in crisis or at risk of suicide, and counseling families who suffered losses of their loved ones due to accident or suicide.

Jill Duba Sauerheber, PhD, LPCC, NCC, EMDR-Certified, Reality Therapy Certified, Gottman Couples Therapy Method Trained, Professor and Department Head. Jill has been a Professional Clinical Counselor since 1999; and has provided state licensure required trainings and over 75 professional conference workshops.
3 hours with 15 minute coffee break
- Practice of professional counseling
- Administrative regulations and statutes including Supervisor Responsibilities
- Theories of supervision
- Ethical issues involved in supervision
- Supervisor responsibilities such as logs, treatment planning, recording, and proper documentation
