Logan County Programs
WKU Continuing and Professional Development, in partnership with the Logan County Chamber of Commerce, has developed training programs to fit the needs of adult learners in Logan County.
Course formats are available in face-to-face classroom settings, as well as online
offerings to meet the needs of our community.
This program trains students to assist physicians by performing functions related
to the clinical responsibilities of a medical office. Instruction includes preparing patients for examination and treatment, routine lab
procedures, diagnostic testing, technical aspects of phlebotomy and the cardiac life
cycle.
The HACCP system is consistent with USDA Food Safety and Inspection Service regulations. This workshop is accredited by the International HACCP Alliance, which was developed in 1994 to provide a uniform program to assure safer meat and poultry products.
