Professional Development Opportunities

Each year, employees typically receive an annual performance appraisal from their supervisors.  Standard areas of evaluation include: job knowledge, productivity, work habits and interpersonal relationships.  In order to increase employee effectiveness and reduce expensive staff turnovers, individuals who have training needs in one or more areas or those looking for professional/personal growth should be directed to resources that will help them improve.

One of the best and most cost-effective resources for this improvement can be found within WKU’s Continuing and Professional Development Department through its offering Open Enrollment courses. Based on individual need, specific course(s) may be selected in relation to Performance Appraisal ranking and supervisor observation.
