WKU's annual Ohio & Tennessee Valley's exceptional one-day event for Personal Financial
Advisors, the Personal Financial Planning Symposium brings professionals from across
the U.S. to speak on topics in the field.
Enhance job performance and personal development skills in an 8-month program. This
program is open to any staff member of WKU.
Earn CPE credit for the Kentucky Board of Accountancy, while learning from local professionals. This program occurs in the spring and fall and generally has a discount for WKU employees.
Gain CPE or CE credits to maintain your credentials. Plus, WKU CPD can offer a 20% discount on Gleim exam prep and continuing education courses to the WKU community!
We offer a variety of standardized test prep courses in partnership with Educational Testing Consultants, Inc. WKU affiliates, including employees and their children, receive discounts on these courses:
- ACT: $80 discount
- GMAT: $50 discount
- GRE: $50 discount
- LSAT: $50 discount
One-hour free workshops are also offered from time to time.
Anyone who is a member of the WKU Alumni Association will receive access to a select, changing list of short courses. These courses are discounted 10-15% and include topics on personal and professional development, including communication, managing your money, project management, and a variety of others.

CPD has offered in-person Excel courses to WKU staff for years, and this has grown into a five-part Excel training series along with special topics courses. These courses are now open to the community.
WKU employees receive a $20 discount off of the full price!
WKU CSA and the Talley Family Counseling Center are offering a series of FREE (grant-funded)
workshops for parents and professionals. These are suitable for anyone who would like
to understand children and young adults better. Professionals can earn CE credit.
