Dr. Julia Link Roberts and Dr. Tyler Clark of The Center for Gifted Studies at WKU have been named as members of the 2022 Advanced Placement Summer Institute (APSI) Advisory Panel. The panel consists of representatives from eight universities across the country that offer an APSI to teachers of Advanced Placement courses.
Members of the Advisory Panel will work closely with the College Board to review upcoming changes to the program and offer expert feedback.
“Serving on the APSI Advisory Board is an honor and a welcome opportunity,” said Dr. Roberts. “Almost four decades of directing Advanced Placement Summer Institutes have provided background for serving in an advisory capacity.”
The Center has offered an APSI on the campus of WKU for 39 years, making it one of the longest-running programs in the nation. In those years of operation, more than 10,000 teachers from around the world have participated in training. The dates for this summer’s workshop will be June 27 – July 1. In 2022, The Center will also offer an in-person workshop in St. Louis July 18 – 22.
