Dr. Julia Link Roberts, Executive Director of The Center for Gifted Studies and The Gatton Academy of Mathematics and Sciences in Kentucky, along with SKyTeach Master Teacher Rico Tyler, presented keynote addresses at the 15th Arab Council for the Gifted and Talented Conference in Cairo, Egypt.
The event was hosted by The Arab Council for the Gifted and Talented, and Dr. Roberts presented the keynote “Differentiating for Advanced Learners,” while Professor Tyler presented a second keynote, “Differentiating STEM Instruction Using Claim, Evidence, and Reasoning.”
The conference, which took place March 14-16, brought together 165 participants from 12 countries to explore the theme “Toward a Global Vision of the Gifted and Talented.” The meeting aimed to facilitate the sharing of expertise and ideas in the field of Gifted and Talented Education. The exchange of experiences was not only aimed at Arab countries, but had an eye toward international developments in the field.
