Financial Assistance for Summer Programs at
The Center for Gifted Studies
Each year The Center for Gifted Studies provides a limited amount of need-based financial assistance. The application requires a copy of this year’s federal income tax form (for both parents if they file separately), a letter from the parents explaining circumstances of which the Financial Assistance Committee should be aware, and a letter from the student explaining their interest in the program.
Be sure to submit your application to camp before applying for assistance. The Center’s deadline for financial assistance is April 15.
We encourage you to explore multiple sources of funding as no one source likely can provide the full amount needed. Other resources that might prove helpful include:

- Local businesses and community groups: Many students have been able to receive assistance from businesses or community groups in their community. Community-oriented groups such as Rotary, Kiwanis, or the Optimist Club often have financial assistance funds for students.
- The KAGE Foundation: The KAGE Foundation provides support for students to attend programs for gifted students at public universities in Kentucky. Look for the application on the Kentucky Association for Gifted Education website at kagegifted.org/kage-foundation. Financial assistance is awarded to highly qualified students primarily on the basis of individual financial need. The Foundation's deadline for financial assistance is March 31.
