Grades 7-8
TIP-KYSM offers students in grades 7 – 8 the opportunity to take the ACT (without the writing section) during one national test date. The cost to join TIP-KY is $95. The cost for students who qualify for free or reduced lunch is $20 (this is based on individual family circumstances, not as a participant of the school’s Community Eligibility Program allowing all students to have free lunch).
Who is Eligible?
Students in grades 7 and 8 may take the ACT test. These students are scoring high on grade-level standardized tests (top 10% of age group) on at least one subject. There are exceptions to any rule, so teachers or parents may recommend high-potential students who do not meet these general guidelines.

- A voucher code to take the ACT
- ACT report goes to TIP-KY and to the school (if selected by registrant)
- Comprehensive report from IDEAL Solutions® with suggestions for supporting students based upon ACT scores
