We are excited to announce Take a Child to Work Day (TACTWD), previously called Take Our Kids to Work Day. Take a Child to Work Day is part of a national event that is designed to be more than just a career day. “Take a Child to Work Day exists to bridge the gap between education and the workplace, providing young people with invaluable, hands-on experiences that help them envision their futures in meaningful ways. It’s about empowering a generation to take bold steps toward their dreams and fostering the confidence and resilience they need to succeed.”
The event is scheduled for Thursday, April 24, 2025. TACTWD is a campus wide event for the children and grandchildren, grades 2 – 12, of WKU employees.
We are looking for campus departments, colleges, and organizations to host fun, hands-on and interactive educational experiences that highlight our campus. Both morning and afternoon time slots are available in 30-minute or 90-minute increments. Some examples from years past are, It's Cool to Be an Entrepreneur, Slime Time, and Game On! Any program that highlights our campus is welcome! A special thank you to our past session hosts, we hope you will participate again this year!
If you would like to host a session, please complete the proposal form by Friday, March 7th:
