Bowling Green, Kentucky – March 30, 2019 – An exhibition of artwork created by young artists with disabilities and local artists will be on display at the Kentucky Museum on the campus of Western Kentucky University, Bowling Green, KY. The exhibition opens Saturday, April 13 and runs through Saturday, June 29. Meet the artists at the reception on April 13st from 2 PM – 4 PM in the Dorothy Grider Garden Gallery. Museum admission is free with regular exhibition hours Tuesday – Saturday from 9 AM – 4 PM. The Kentucky Museum’s physical address is 1444 Kentucky Street, Bowling Green, KY.
Side by Side enables students to explore the creative process in small classes, in addition to receiving individual attention from a professional artist mentor. It highlights the importance of the role of local artists in the life of their community and provides organizations the opportunity to build bridges by bringing diverse groups of citizens together to learn through, participate in, and enjoy the art.
Side by Side is presented in partnership with VSA Kentucky, www.vsartsky.com. Many thanks to the organizations that make the Side by Side program possible in Bowling Green: WHAS Crusade For Children, Kiwanis Bowling Green, KY, Kentucky Arts Council, and the Kentucky Department of Education.
