Kentucky Academy of Science grant supports Bingocize project

The Kentucky Academy of Science has awarded a 2019 Undergraduate Research Grant to Dr. Matthew Shake, associate professor of Psychological Sciences, for Bingocize: A Novel Mobile Application to Help Improve Older Adult Health in Underserved Areas. The grant will support summer research by WKU junior Andrea Anderson who will travel to senior centers in Kentucky and Tennessee to administer neuropsychological assessments to older adults participating in the Bingocizeclinical trial, an NIH-sponsored research study investigating the benefits of an app-based exercise program for older adults’ cognitive and physical health.
