PHUGAS
Public Health Undergraduate & Graduate Associated Students
Calling all BSPH and MPH students…
Have your voice heard! Vote on curriculum, policies, and more!
PHUGAS is the student governance organization for all public health students - undergraduate and graduate. There is no fee or application to join; if you're a public health student, you're part of PHUGAS! We discuss and vote on different things relating to the programs, including policy, procedure, diversity, inclusion, and curriculum within PHUGAS. The two PHUGAS Presidents each have a vote in the joint MPH-BSPH meetings, used to reflect the voice of students. There are three different ways to be involved in PHUGAS:
- Be an active member! Come to meetings when you can; participate in discussion boards on the organizational Blackboard pages; post on the Facebook group! We will do everything in our power to make sure each student is heard.
- Be on a committee! There are 2 committees that we need student representation on. Their meeting times
are not set, and most only meet once or twice per academic year. Those committees
are:
- Undergraduate Curriculum
- Graduate Curriculum
- Run for office! There are 4 officer positions. For more information on these positions,
see the bylaws. Those officer positions are:
- Undergraduate President
- Graduate President
- Vice President
- Secretary
