Why did you choose your career? I did an internship at BGPD and fell in love with the agency and the profession.
Who is your academic superhero (i.e. a fellow academic who inspires you), or general professional inspiration? Dr. Ed Bohlander by far was my superhero for school, for my career and for just life in general. He helped my get my degree program together when he totally didn’t have to. He recommended I do an internship at BGPD. I never would have without him. He challenged students to think and to be kind. I miss him.
What word or phrase do you most overuse while teaching? "Does that make sense?"
Favorite Quote? “Be Strong and Courageous; Do Not be Afraid or discouraged for the Lord, your God, is with you wherever you go.” Joshua1:9
What do you do for fun? I like to run, travel, hang out with friends and family.
How would you describe the relevance of your field in today’s society? Law Enforcement is one piece of the criminal justice puzzle, but arguably the first rung on the ladder and the most influential and at times, controversial.
