Job Description
The Operations Coordinator performs a variety of duties that are complex in nature and require a higher level of initative, accuracy, and judgement to support the effective operation of the departments.
Specific Duties
- To oversee the Faculty Load and Compenstation processes, prepares FLAC letters and coordinates their submission to Academic Affairs .
- Point of contact for creating course schedules within the Banner system each academic term.
- Prepares Employee Personnel Action Form (EPAF) for new employees, graduate assistants, and employees who are changing their employment status.
- Responsible for scheduing and maintenance of space in Grise Hall 1st floor.
- Manages funcationality of office and classroom equipment.
- Administrative support for Department Chairs and special projects in which departments are involved.
- Administrative support for events related to recruitment, retention, and outreach for departments. Note: There is a form to request support with an event, and that form must be completed four full weeks prior to the event date to recieve assistance.
- Manages student employees for the pod, including student workers and those selected as departmental ambassadors.
- First point of contact for inquries related to departmental tours or other questions from prospective students.
