Grants & Contracts Accounting
Grants and Contracts Accounting (GCA) manages financial records for all external grants, contracts, and agreements at WKU. Once an award is accepted by the Western Kentucky University Research Foundation (WKURF) and the award document is received from the Office of Sponsored Programs (OSP), GCA sets up the award in Banner Finance and oversees all internal and external financial reporting. GCA is your primary contact for questions regarding expenditures, balances, and financial details of external awards to WKU or WKURF.
WKU Research Foundation
The WKU Research Foundation connects faculty and student initiatives with resources to drive innovation. With expertise in science, technology, and business development, the foundation fosters research, entrepreneurship, and economic growth while overseeing financial activities and expanding WKU’s research presence.
Office of Sponsored Programs
The Office of Sponsored Programs supports WKU faculty and staff in securing external funding for research and projects. From identifying funding opportunities to reviewing award terms, OSP provides guidance throughout the entire grant process to advance WKU’s academic and research goals.
