The Learning Center (TLC) provides free tutoring to all undergraduate students at WKU. TLC promotes academic success by helping students develop study skills and gain confidence as self-directed learners.

The WKU Summer Scholars Program is a five-week summer transition program for incoming first-year students. This program is required for undergraduate students with an unweighted high school GPA between 2.0 and 2.49.

The Cornerstone Program provides academic assistance to incoming first-year students as they transition to WKU. Students will collaborate with faculty, staff, and peers to develop crucial academic skills.

The Best Expectation Program (BEP) is an initiative designed to help students improve their academic performance and ultimately graduate from WKU. BEP is required for students with an academic standing of Academic Probation or Academic Committee Approval.

Academic Standing Workshops

During these one-time workshops, students with an academic standing of Academic Warning will learn about available campus resources, strategies for improving their GPA, and the consequences of continued low academic performance. Workshops are available every fall and spring semester.

WKU's college readiness efforts focus on outreach to improve placement, persistence, and degree completion for all students. Incoming students are placed into courses to maximize their success in math, reading, and writing.
