Gordon Ford College of Business Student Named Delta Sigma Pi’s 2025 Regional Collegian of the Year

BOWLING GREEN, KY – Shelby Markus, a Western Kentucky University’s Zeta Theta Chapter of Delta Sigma Pi member, has been named the 2025 Regional Collegian of the Year for the Mid-South region. She was presented her award at the Southern Provincial LEAD Conference in Charlotte, NC.
This prestigious award is the highest accolade for a collegiate member and recognizes Shelby for her exemplary leadership, academic achievements, and commitment to Delta Sigma Pi. The selection criteria include participation in inter-chapter events, fraternity leadership roles, and scholastic accomplishments.
Shelby is a senior majoring in accounting and political science. Currently, she serves on WKU’s Delta Sigma Pi Executive Team as the VP of Chapter Operations.
Delta Sigma Pi is the nation’s largest professional business fraternity, dedicated to business students’ personal and professional development. Founded in 1907 at New York University, it has grown into a diverse network of over 300,000 members. The fraternity supports scholastic, professional, and service events while providing leadership training to shape ethical business leaders.
