Graduate Students Win at Research Conference

Kyle O'Donnell’s presentation "Utilizing Energy Saving Performance to Position WKU as a Net-Zero Emissions Campus" won Best Graduate Business Paper during the annual 43rd annual REACH Week Student Conference on March 23. REACH stands for Research Experiences and Creative Heights.
Joseph Kimeu’s poster "Region-Based Athletic Performance: An Insight Into Positional Segregation in Professional Team Sports" won Best Graduate Poster (Business, Humanities & Interdisciplinary).
Kyle is a Full-time MBA student and Dr. Brian Sullivan was his research mentor. Joseph is a M.A. of Applied Economics student and Dr. Dennis Wilson was his mentor. Kyle and Joseph were two of 12 business & economics students participating.
Drs. Cathy Carey, Ismail Civelek, and Phillip Coleman served as conference session judges. Dr. Bob Hatfield serves on WKU’s Student Research Council.
