- Wednesday, February 24th, 2016
Recognizing the importance of equipping students with workplace skills through experiential learning, the Gordon Ford College of Business has hired an Internship Coordinator dedicated to expanding internship opportunities in the business community for its students.
Monica Duvall, a marketing professional with more than 12 years of experience in the business world, joins the GFCB as a resource in developing, managing, implementing, and evaluating the internship program for students. She will collaborate with the College’s six undergraduate disciplines to ensure students have opportunities for company visits and tours, job shadowing, internships, career-related service learning, and other experiential career exploration activities.
“Feedback from the business community reminds us that internships and job shadowing experiences are a crucial component of every business graduate’s resume. As an applied College of business, we strive to ensure our students understand the link between the classroom and the business world,” said GFCB Dean Jeff Katz. “We are excited to welcome Monica to our team of world-class faculty and staff.”
Duvall is a 2005 graduate of WKU and most recently served as Marketing Manager for Reinhart Foodservice in Bowling Green. She joined the GFCB staff on February 22 and can be reached at monica.duvall@wku.edu or 270.745.4136.
The Gordon Ford College of Business is a top business school with dual AACSB accreditation in both business and accounting programs.
