- Friday, March 25th, 2016
Two GFCB students will present their research projects at the 2016 INFORMS International Conference in Wailoloa, Hawaii, in June.
Business Informatics and Management double major Corey Travis will present his research, “Making the Most of Intelligence: Data Mining for Customer Loyalty.” Travis is from Leitchfield, KY.
Finance major Zachary Ross will present his research, “Profit Analysis: Too Big to Fail? Or Too Blind to See?” Ross is from Glasgow, KY.
The INFORMS International Conference is one of the largest international conferences focusing on operations research and management science. Topics presented during this conference will range from global supply chain and energy systems to decision analysis and project management. Funds from the WKU Fuse grant will support their travel.
Dr. Leyla Zhuhadar serves as the faculty mentor for each student.
“I’m really proud of them and wishing them all the success in their presentations,” Dr. Zhuhadar said. “They will be able to network and collaborate with colleagues across the globe from both academia and industry. Since both of them are interested in pursuing a Master’s degree, the acceptance of their research is evidence they are on the right track for their careers.”
The Gordon Ford College of Business is a top business school with dual AACSB accreditation in both business and accounting programs.
