The Gordon Ford College of Business Professional Selling Program has successfully earned recertification by the University Sales Center Alliance (USCA). The GFCB offers a concentration in professional selling within the Department of Marketing, and is one of 32 fully certified programs in the United States. The USCA is a consortium of professional selling program educators dedicated to advancing the sales profession through teaching, research, and outreach.
“Being part of the USCA is a critical item for any sales program,” said Dr. Lukas Forbes, Director of the Professional Selling Program at WKU. “This alliance lends credibility to sales education, and alliance members meet twice a year to share best practices.”
Additionally, WKU’s Professional Selling Program is the only fully certified sales program in Kentucky and Tennessee.
The USCA consists of 53 universities across the U.S. and Europe dedicated to preparing students for success in professional sales roles. Certification involves meeting requirements in numerous areas, including classroom instruction, curriculum review, real-world experiences and internships, and engagement with corporate partners.
Forbes was elected to the USCA Executive Board and will serve the organization as secretary.
The Gordon Ford College of Business is a top business school with dual AACSB accreditation in both business and accounting programs.
