Join ORAC on a quick afternoon trip to honor Earth Day! We will provide transportation to a cool location to do trail maintenance, river or park clean up! Does whitewater kayaking interest you!? You’re in luck! ORAC is offering a step by step hands-on clinic in the Preston Center Natatorium on how to roll a whitewater kayak. Over the course of these two clinics, you will learn the fundamentals of how to safely roll a kayak, bracing skills, and paddle techniques to keep you sharp and focused when riding the rapids.
*Please arrive at ORAC 5-10 minutes before your clinic to fill out a waiver! Pre-registration is required to reserve your spot-boats are limited!

The Elkhorn Creek is a water system located just east of Frankfort, KY. It starts at the Forks of Elkhorn and ends at the Kentucky River! This waterway is known for its beautiful environment and fantastic wildlife alongside the river banks. The beginning section starts out with a Class I-II rapids but mainly flat water. This makes it amazing for beginning whitewater kayakers and canoers. So come on out and enjoy the wildlife in these easy-going rapids and become a member of the Elkhorn Creek Swim Team... if you're lucky!
