Two parent meetings were held at each of the Treatment 1 and Treatment 2 schools.
The first presentation, Challenge for Every Child, emphasized the need for rigor citing ACT data, the renewal rates of the Kentucky Education in Excellence Scholarship monies, and other statistics plus ideas on ways to challenge children at home and
at school. The second presentation, Project GEMS: A Joint Project Between The Center for Gifted Studies at WKU and the
Warren County Public Schools, outlined the findings of the first two years of the grant including responses from
students, parents, teachers, and administrators. This objective was not pursued after
the Javits funding ended.
